How it works

Broken doesn't mean done.

Fixify has a team of experienced fixers who will fix your broken electronics, small appliances, clothing, bikes, jewelry, computers, toys, and more. Every repair starts with a bid from your fixer, and it will never cost more than replacing the item.

Step 1

Tell us what's broken

Fill out a quick fix request: name the item, add a photo, describe what's wrong, and leave your contact info. About two minutes, no account needed.

Step 2

A fixer takes it on

One of our fixers claims your request, sends you a bid and timeline, and arranges drop-off with you in the built-in chat.

Step 3

Pick it up fixed

You'll get a message the moment it's ready. Swing by, grab your item, and get back to using it.

FAQ

Good questions, quick answers.

What does it cost?
Your fixer gives you a bid before any work starts, and it will never be more than the price of buying a replacement. On average we aim for about 40% of the cost of a new one, built on a $5/hour base rate for our fixers. Donations are always welcome too.
What can I bring?
Electronics, small appliances, clothing and textiles, bikes, jewelry, computers, toys, and more. Not sure if we'd take it? Submit a request anyway. Worst case, we'll point you in the right direction.
How do drop-off and pickup work?
Once a fixer claims your request, they'll message you under My items (top right) to arrange drop-off. When the repair is done, you'll get another message there that it's ready to pick up.
How do I check on my request?
Open My items in the top corner. Your requests live on the device you sent them from, and every message from your fixer shows up there. You also leave your email and phone number with the request, so your fixer can reach you directly.
How long does a repair take?
Your fixer gives you a bid and an estimated timeline when they claim your item. Simple fixes take a few days, trickier ones a couple of weeks. You can check in over chat anytime.
What if it can't be fixed?
Sometimes a thing really is beyond saving. If so, we'll tell you what we found and suggest a plan B: spare parts, recycling, or advice on a replacement. You only pay if we fix it. Either way, you'll know.
